Collective Worship

Collective worship is an important part of daily life for us, providing time for reflection, prayer, and connection with God and each other. It is a key opportunity for the whole school community to come together in faith and shared learning. During collective worship, children are introduced to Christian values and traditions, Bible stories, and the teachings of Jesus, which help them to grow spiritually and morally. Children also experience collective worship from a wide range of Christian role models from our local community.

Each collective worship fosters a sense of belonging and unity, reinforcing the importance of our school values. Collective worship invites all members of the school to reflect on their own lives, giving us the space to consider how they can live out their faith and serve others. We create an inclusive environment where all faith is respected and nurtured, and where children are encouraged to build a strong spiritual foundation for their future. All pupils attend collective worship, and no learning interventions take place during this time, as it is considered a sacred time of the day. Pupils enter to a song, and enjoy the sense of community that singing brings.

 Collective Worship monitors

Collective worship monitors are pupils from KS2 (Year 5 and 6) who take responsibility for setting up the hall for Collective Worship. They also lead prayer, lead actions for songs and support with organisation. This enables pupils to flourish and aspire to be leaders within our school community.
