  • Friday 11 February 2022 Ancient Greece Day - Palm Class Year 4 had Ancient Greece day to finish off their topic for the term. They dressed as Ancient Greeks, read Greek myths, created their own mythical creatures, made laurel wreaths and baked Greek butter cookies! What a busy day!
  • Friday 11 February 2022 Ancient China Day - Olive Class Before half term, Year 3 children had Ancient China Day. They made Chinese cookies, paper dragons (with dancing included), painted Chinese plated and decorated with willow patterns and as a treat children got fortune cookies!

  • Friday 4 February 2022 Science Museum School Trip Sycamore class had the amazing opportunity to go to the Science museum where they had a fantastic time.
  • Wednesday 2 February 2022 School trip to the National History Museum On Wednesday 2nd February, Olive Class went on a school trip to the Natural History Museum. It was amazing. They had a very interesting workshop on Volcanoes and Earthquakes. Year 3 children became scientists and had to help on a mission to save Volcano Town. They did an amazing job. We also visited few of thegalleries: Dinosaur, Mammals and Earthquake and Volcano, THERE WAS SO MUCH TO SEE!!!
  • Friday 28 January 2022 Science Day This year's Science Day coincided with the RSPBBig GardenBird Watch 2022, so at St Mark'swe made a day of it!
  • Monday 24 January 2022 School Trip to the Horniman Museum Willow Class (Year 6) went to the Horniman Museum where the children learnt got to do a workshop to learn about the Kingdom of Benin.

  • Wednesday 8 December 2021 Years 5 & 6 MUSIC CONCERTS Thank you to all the parents that attended the Years 5 & 6 music concert. Each year group performed three pieces; Jingle Bells, a Jewish wedding song and Tropical Island were some of them. Well done! Thank you also to all who attended the Year 3 and Year 4 music concert. Your children are making good progress after a long period of not playing instruments.
  • Wednesday 8 December 2021 Oak Class visit the Unicorn Theatre On Wednesday, Oak Class enjoyed a fantastic class trip to the Unicorn Theatre to see a Christmas performance. For some children it was their first trip to the theatre.
  • Wednesday 8 December 2021 Palm Class Children in Palm Class have been using a range of art materials to develop effective sunsets as part of their art work this week.
  • Tuesday 7 December 2021 EYFS Nativity Well done to all our angels, shepherds, the ‘star’, kings and all who participated in this amazing Nativity play. Thank you to all parents that came and supported the children in their performance.
  • Tuesday 7 December 2021 Juniper Class Trip to London Eye The children in Juniper Class visited the London Eye as part of their Geography learning this term. They have been researching about the different landmarks in London. On the trip ,the children created sketches of the London Eye and then had the chance to go all the way to the very top just like the children did in our literacy text 'Katie in London.’
  • Friday 3 December 2021 Pupil workshops on social media and friends Last Friday, children in Year 5 and 6 received workshops about the dangers of social media and how to develop real friendships and avoid friends that may pose a danger to them, from an organisation called Growing Against Violence. They always deliver excellent sessions that make children think about their actions and how they behave online, which helps them to prepare for the future.

  • Wednesday 1 December 2021 EYFS Stay and Play Session Today we had an Stay and Play in Session in Early Years.
  • Friday 19 November 2021 School Art Display On Friday 19th November we unveiled our new murals. During the past two terms, nearly one hundred children across the school have worked with artists from Van Gogh House in Brixton to produce new murals to replace our old ones on the outside of the school hall. Using inspiration from trees, nature and wildlife, they created the final pieces with support from Janet and Lucy.
  • Wednesday 17 November 2021 Science Museum Trip Last week Ebony class visited the Science Museum as part of their term topic Space. They all enjoyed being in the “Space”!
  • Tuesday 9 November 2021 Girls Football Tournament This week, 9 girls from Years 5 and 6 participated in a football tournament against other local schools.

  • Friday 28 May 2021 Year 4 Tudors Day  On Friday 28th may Year 4 learnt about the lives of every day Tudors by dressing up as Tudors, learning Tudor dancing, playing Tudor music on the recorder, taking part in a jousting tournament and creating a portrait of ourselves inspired by Tudor artist Holbein.
