Celebrating Christmas at St Mark's

End of year message from Rev Stephen Coulson
‘Good news! Isn't it wonderful when we get good news? Immediately our spirits are lifted, we smile, and almost always we want to find someone to pass on what we have just heard. Well there is much good news to pass on about St. Mark's Primary School. We have a wonderful community of children from Nursery to Year 6, and they are so lovingly supported by our School staff as well as by their families. As Chair of Governors, I am so proud of Mr In-gram and his team. The Ofsted Inspection confirmed our view of the School - there was so much Good News in the report, and I was particularly glad to read "St. Mark’s is a welcoming, inclusive and supportive school where pupils feel safe and happy.’"
So I want to say "Thank you" to everyone who makes St Mark's this great place for children to grow up and learn. Celebrate this good news! At Christmas, we are reminded that there was good news brought by an angel ...." “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people" It was, of course, the news of the birth of Jesus being born, the Son of God, the Saviour of the World. My prayer is that every household of our school community would know the presence and peace that Jesus came to bring us. Celebrate this good news!’
