Chess Classic Tournament

30 Pupils from Years 4,5 and 6 took part in the annual ’Chess Classic’ chess tournament at the Emirates Stadium on Friday. They played against other schools, participated in a chess lesson and also got to meet and play against chess grandmasters.
If that was not exciting enough, they got to experience all this within London’s greatest Football stadium, the Emirates stadium, the home of Arsenal Football Club.
It was a memorable experience for all children who attended and they all enjoyed it and performed well. Special mentions need to be given to Trojit in Year 6, Jidcak and Ezra in Year 5 and Ezra in Year 4 who won medals for their performances.
