Ofsted Report
In September 2019, we received an Ofsted inspection. We are thrilled to obtain external validation for all of the hard work that has taken place within St Mark's across the past four years. The inspectors mentioned many key strengths of the school including:
- Pupils enjoy learning and are eager to learn
- Pupils feel safe and bullying is rare
- Pupils are provided with a range of learning opportunities
- Pupils develop a strong sense of community
- Pupils receive high levels of care
- Leaders have high ambitions for the school
- Reading is taught well
- Pupils do well in maths
- Leaders have a good understanding of SEN
- Leaders have improved the Early Years
- Leaders support children’s Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development
- Safeguarding arrangements are effective
- Staff, pupils and parents are positive about the school
