In our book, Matchbox diaries, the great-grandfather has an olive seed that he sucked on when he was hungry and it reminded him of his homeland Italy.
What special recipes to you have that remind you of a place or happy memory? It could be a meal from a country you have been to or are from. It could be a meal you had with a friend or a family member that reminds you of them. I want you to make that meal today. If you are not sure of the ingredients, search for it on this website:
Please send me photographs of your delicious meals. Thank you to Shary and Tiago who sent me photos of their cooking from last week. Have a look in the home learning gallery to see these chefs in action!

Each week the whole school are going to be looking at a different artist and creating work inspired by them. This week the artist is Matisse. One his most famous pieces of work is this one called 'The snail.'
Lots of adults are confused when they see this artwork. They think it looks like something a small child created. Others like the abstract nature of his work. What do you think?
Your job today is look at this website and find a piece by Matisse that you like and create your own version of it. You might make a collage like the one above and base it on a different minibeast. You might choose a different image and sketch it. It is up to you!
